I’ve followed New Jersey’s The Cynz for a few years now and have listened to their progress. What began as a throwback, ’77-punk/”garage” style has now evolved into some powerful songwriting; melodic arrangements and emotionally-gripping recorded performances. While on some songs they maintain their raw tendencies, it’s with this new release, they’re bound to turn heads and acquire new fans.

“Face Another Day” has all the right elements: great vocals, done with layers and harmonies that you feel; a top-notch arrangement of strong melody and performance; a well-constructed production using elements that suit the song and elevate it to a greater apex of being able to reach you (and subsequently makes you think about the lyrics).

Between this track and their outstanding “Devil In The Details”, The Cynz are forging a new route that broadens their scope and showcases their talents in ways that solidify that they’re not just “rock & roll fun”; they have something valid to say. The tandem of Cyndi Dawson (vocals) and Henry Seiz (guitar) have delivered in a wonderfully stunning way.

“Face Another Day” is currently available for download and purchase.
