Uriah Heep Gets 23CD/1LP Career Box With Fifty Years Of Rock

One of the great Rock bands of the early era of Rock n Roll was (and is) Uriah Heep. They released great Rock albums and enjoyed the success of a few hit singles and FM deep cuts (“Easy Livin'”, “Stealin;”, “July Morning”, and others). During their height in the David Byron era, they released nine classic albums within a short 6 year period. In the post-Byron years, Uriah Heep released 15 more strong studio works. Today, Uriah Heep is primarily maintained by original member, Mick Box, who enjoys the deep talent base that sustains the band’s sterling legacy. Uriah Heep never let up. While we all lovingly remember the original band configurations up through the Bolder and Wetton years, each successive lineup gave the best of themselves for Uriah Heep. And continue to do so. It’s been a great 50 years!

On October 30, BMG will release a newly assembled Boxed set that will work through the band’s 50 year legacy. It will do so with an ambitious 23CDs, four of which were personally curated by Mick Box, Lee Kerslake, Ken Hensley, and Paul Newton (RIP, David Byron/Gary Thain, John Wetton, Trevor Bolder). The Box, called Uriah Heep: Fifty Years In Rock, will also contain a newly remastered LP of The Magician’s Birthday (with newly reimagined Roger Dean cover artwork), two exclusive Roger Dean 2-sided art prints (one with original and reimagined cover of The Magician’s Birthday, and one for Demons and Wizards), and a 64-page book filled with photos, notes, essays, credits, and memorabilia, as well as a look back at the fifty years of Uriah Heep.

The four curated CDs will contain track choices by Ken Hensley (with 14), Lee Kerslake (with 14), Mick Box (with 15), and Paul Newton (with 14). The box promises every studio album by Uriah Heep to be included. Live 1973 is also included. They are present in the unpopular presentation of two albums sometimes included on the same CD.
