The Stooges were a band ahead of their time with a performer in Iggy Pop, who thoroughly embodied the definition of Rock and Roll as fully as could be done without killing himself. For their time, they produced three magnificent albums ending with the legendary Raw Power, issued by Columbia in 1973. (I STILL warmly remember this classic!) As Rock ‘n Roll would have it, The Stooges disbanded and Iggy Pop went on to solo successes, remaining today a power on the stage!
