The entire clan of Wainwrights are talented. They consistently bring strong songs to the public via their albums. (My personal favorite is Martha Wainwright, who delivers achingly beautiful and thoughtful songs in her sets,) The most recognized name in the Wainwright family is, however, Rufus Wainwright. Son of Kate McGarrigle (RIP), and Loudon Wainwright III, Rufus has delivered nine albums with Take All My Love: Nine Shakespeare Sonnets from 2016.
On April 24, Rufus Wainwright will offer a new 12-track set that will represent his first album of fresh material since Out Of The Game from 2012. The new album will be called Unfollow The Rules. The first single is “Damsel In Distress” (heard below).
