MusicTAP is very pleased to bring you an exclusive premiere of Lauren Lucas’ new single, “Go Home Paul”; this is her first solo release in eight years.

Tony and Academy of Country Music Award nominee, Lauren Lucas, shows incredible depth and maturity with “Go Home Paul”, her fifth studio release. It finds her in new territory, showcasing her musicianship on guitar and warmly intimate vocals. Written by Ms. Lucas and veteran songwriter, Jay Knowles (Harry Connick, Jr., George Strait), the song makes the listener feel as though they’re eavesdropping on the inner thoughts of the singer as she struggles to detangle herself from a seductive romance.

According to Ms. Lucas, “for years, this has been one of my favorite songs that I’ve been a part of as a songwriter. I’ve had both women and men come up to me after shows and tell me they relate to the story of “Go Home Paul,” so I’m thrilled to have it finally recorded and released into the world! Some of my favorite songs to listen to, as a fan, evoke emotion in me because they cut right to the truth. I hope we wrote this song to be personal enough that it feels universal to the listener.”

You’ve heard songs that Ms. Lucas has penned on Broadway, in films and on television, including A.B.C.’s hit reality show, “Shark Tank”. As an artist, Lauren has opened shows for the likes of Kenny Chesney, Old Dominion, Blake Shelton, Billy Currington, Maroon 5, Gabe Dixon, Maia Sharp, and The Bacon Brothers (Kevin and Michael), to name a few. She will be teaming up again with The Bacon Brothers as the opening act for several dates throughout the summer and fall in support of her new release.

Lauren Lucas is preparing to release a series of consecutive singles throughout rest of the year and into 2020. Please listen and let us know your thoughts on “Go Home Paul” (mp.3 below).

“Go Home Paul” will be available as of Friday, August 16th, 2019

  1. Lauren,

I heard you perform last night before the Bacon Brothers concert. Your voice sounded amazing. You have amazing control and tone. Upon ending your set, you introduced this song ” Go Home Paul” as your closing song. The melody is romantically haunting and the words are so honest that I had to purchase your CD of your earlier work. I hope to hear your show again….even more so after hearing you live. Best Wishes for continued success with your singing career.

    Bob
