Massive Attack released their first album, Blue Lines, back in 1991. With that album, the UK band quickly established themselves as a premier psychedelic-styled trip hop electronica band. The band garnered praise and a big collection of singles. Eventually, the two-member band has worked with singers like Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser (“Teardrop”). With soundtracks, hits singles, and albums deemed great, the band has established themselves as an important fixture in today’s Rock.

On November 16, Massive Attack will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their Mezzanine (1998) album with a newly remastered 2CD reissue, and a following 3LP set (planned for November 30). Each set will provide a bonus inclusion of eight previously unreleased Mad Professor remixes including two songs recorded during the Mezzanine sessions but never used for the album.

The 2CD set will provide a booklet with photos and write-ups. The 3LP set will be presented in a 48-page hardback book with a bonus 32-page booklet of art inside. The original albums (2LP) will be pressed on orange vinyl, and the 3rd LP with the remixes will be pressed on pink vinyl.

The 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Mezzanine will also be made available as DD.
