Metallica has enjoyed the most success of any Thrash Metal band in the genre. That’s not to say they’re the only successful band in Thrash, just that they have the greatest cross-over visibility of most. With ten studio sets (eleven if you count Lulu), Metallica has earned their place in Rock with much loved classic albums. One of them is their 1988 set, …And Justice For All.
On November 2, the band continues their ongoing reissue campaign with a packed revisit of the album. In addition to the remastering of the original, the set is joined with a second CD filled with demos, while a third CD is home to a collection of selected live performance tracks from 1988 and 1989 dates to support the album. a 28-page booklet is packed in.
There will be several forms of release that include the uber-fan 6LP/11CD/4DVD that will produce interviews, an expanded collection of rough mixes, James’ Riff Tapes, and demos (over three CDs), live performance tracks from a variety of shows (over six CDs), along with the original album CD. The four DVD contain videos and lots of concert footage. The box will contain a massive 120-page hardbound book filled with photos, credits, notes and essays, and memorabilia.
For those that require less, there will be a single CD (original album only), a 3CD set, a 2LP set, and a cassette version of the original album.
