Neil Diamond has been with us for decades. With an unleashing of many studio classics (we don’t have to like them all), and some classic live sets including Hot August Night from 1972, and Love At The Greek from 1977. Neil followed those multi-platinum selling gems with Hot August Night II (1987), Live in America (1994), and Hot August Night/NYC (2010). All live titles sold well with even NYC selling into 2X Platinum territory. While nothing beats the originals, these additional sets add to the ND Experience.
Neil Diamond has a solid library of classic hits that could trouble a set list in any concert setting. With that, there is little end to the stuff we could get that have his name attached to it.
On August 17, the Hot August Night title franchise gets new attention with Hot August Night III, an assembly with 35 live performances of great tracks. This album was recorded in 2012 at LA’s Greek Theater in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the original Hot August Night classic.
Hot August Night III will be presented over 2 CDs, and visually over an included DVD (with bonus Behind The Scenes footage).
