Many have favored albums from The Eagles. For me, it’s One Of These Nights, released back in 1975. But, in 1976, and with the addition of Joe Walsh to the line-up, The Eagles released their most widely loved album, Hotel California. It sold over 32 million units, generated two number one singles (“Hotel California”, “New Kid In Town”), and another with “Life In the Fast Lane”. The album won two Grammy Awards for the two singles and lost Album of The Year to Rumours.
On November 24, a 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Hotel California will be made available with a ton of expanded coolness.
The album will be newly remastered and presented in several forms.
The 2CD/BD will provide the original album, a previously unreleased LA Forum (October 1976) live set with ten performance tracks, and both hi-res Stereo tracks (192 kHz/24-bit) as well as 5.1 Surround mixes (Advanced Resolution, and Dolby Digital). To make a great package even better, an 11 x 11 hardbound book will be included stuffed with photos, write-ups, memorabilia, credits, and notes. A replica tour book is included as well as an 11 x 22 poster.
For others, there will be a 2CD set. a single CD edition, and the expected digital download availability. If you go to The Eagles website, you can pre-order cool bundles there.
