When it comes to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, few bands have had the luxury they’ve enjoyed of being revisited in many ways in a short time. But they’ve been worth it. You may not need to replenish an already existing library as frequently as they’ve had their albums revisited, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have the opportunity or choice. I sure wish that many bands that I’ve loved over the years had just a portion of that attention to music.

(For years, I’ve envisioned a Deluxe Edition of Wishbone Ash’s magnificent Live Dates. With two discs of cherry-picked performance tracks from four shows, I’d LOVE to hear each show in their entirety. What a package that’s be!! Additionally, I have love for Crawler, the band that evolved from Back Street Crawler after Paul Kossoff’s death. I’d love to hear the original album (with “Stone Cold Sober”) remastered, as well as some live material, and perhaps some embryonic demos and alternate tracks. To hear “Stone Cold Sober” in its early form would be very, very cool!! And let’s not forget the insights a new booklet would provide us for both albums!)

On October 27, BMG will produce a Limited Edition Deluxe Box named Fanfare 1970-1997 that will house all eleven official ELP album releases (in their most recent remastering) within a lavish, numbered rigid matte-black Box with foil-blocked cover text. Those albums are:
