For many fans, The Church has been a pinnacle of the music of the ’80s. With origins rooted in Australia around 1980, The Church has over 20 studio issues and a late issue live set. The band’s highest charting set, Starfish (1988), followed by Gold Afternoon Fix (1990) represents the band best. Although some may have more favorite material in the band’s large catalog, it is Starfish that represents their popularity spike best.

The Church’s last album was Further/Deeper (2014). Currently, the Steve Kilbey-led band is wrapping up the next album in their extensive catalog. The new album is being called Man Woman Life Death Infinity, which is quite a heady title for a Rock band of note. But that’s ok. It’s how we like The Church to be.

Man Woman Life Death Infinity will be filled with great music, of that there is little doubt. Thus far, there isn’t a track-list although we do have a song from the album available to listen to via YouTube (listen below).

If you’re a serious fan, The Church will be undergoing a large-scale US tour, with easily accessible stops including the historic Park West venue in Chicago. That tour begins in Portland, OR (Revolution Hall) on September 8, and concludes October 14 in Phoenix, AZ (The Press Room). This whirlwind tour involves 29 stages. You in?

Man Woman Life Death Infinity is scheduled for release “in the Fall”. Updates will follow.
