Joe Cocker was a vocalist extraordinaire who gave a new life to any cover he did. but even better, he delivered his own songs with a strength rarely seen. We can consider ourselves the better for it. A Joe Cocker is a once in a lifetime event.
Over time, Joe Cocker has recorded over twenty studio sets and more than ten live performance albums. There are also more than twenty-five collection sets that bring together his hits, essential cuts, and more. It’s easy to say that Joe Cocker has had a powerful influence on Rock and Roll during his long recording career that, sadly, ended in 2014 with his death at the age of 70 due to lung cancer. His legacy is that he was one of the most unique performers and singers.
On August 26, a 14CD Box set, The Album Recordings: 1984-2007 will look back beginning with Civilized Man (1984), and closing with Hymn For My Soul (2007).
