Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds Skeleton TreeAlthough Nick Cave and his band, The Bad Seeds have consistently made excellent music for us to enjoy, it would seem that the release gaps have been painfully wide. Yes, that seems to be the reality these days given that in the old days of Rock and Roll, bands were releasing fresh and wonderful new albums seemingly every six months. And some DID release every six to eight months. But nevertheless, time frames are wider now.

The last album Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds gave us was 2013’s Push The Sky Away. That album pleased the fans and charted quite well worldwide. But that was three years ago. Before that, the wait time was five years between Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! (2008) and Push the Sky Away. Great music is not to be pushed with Nick Cave. (Right, Adam?)

On September 9, the newest album, Skeleton Tree, will be released via the band’s own Bad Seed, Ltd. The album will be kept completely under wraps with no front-running singles to be released. The earliest you are promised to hear anything from the album is on September 8. That is possible only through a film that will be opening that date. The film is called One More Time With Feeling. The film artistically explores the recording of Skeleton Tree. (More info on the movie here.)

Skeleton Tree is planned for CD, DD, and vinyl LP. You can pre-order at Nick Cave’s official web store here.
