Electronica (The Time Machine) was released by Jean-Michel Jarre back in 2015. It featured an ingenious match-up of collaborative music with other pioneering electronic-based bands and artists to create a stunning set of great music. It delivered on sets with Tangerine Dream, Lang Lang, Pete Townshend, Massive Attack, Laurie Anderson, and more. I’m quite pleased to find that Jean-Michel Jarre will revisit the concept once again with a new Electronica issue.
On May 6, the next release in his Electronica series, Electronica 2 (The Heart Of Noise). It will feature eighteen new tracks, most as collaborative work with the likes of Jeff Mills, Pet Shop Boys, Hans Zimmer, Gary Numan, The Orb, Primal Scream, and others. There will be three tracks that have Jarre only. With the first set so refreshing, I’m immensely excited for this next release.
