Back in August, the news that there would be a collected Box set for later Roy Orbison classics was well-received. The Box, which will contain thirteen CDs of new 2015 remastering of all the tracks, was being referred to as Roy Orbison – The MGM Years 1965-1973. Much, if not all of the details have already been released so there is little need to recap all of that here. This new Boxed set is currently scheduled for December 4.
The MGM Years 1965-1973 will deliver 156 newly remastered songs including a rarities collection being called One Of The Lonely Ones. That album was recorded, yet shelved back in 1969. It has been unreleased until now. A standalone copy of that album was expected to be provided “free” to the first 500 pre-orders (which is likely already exceeded by now).
In addition to the release of this magnificent Box that will please devout fans, all of the albums are on the calendar (same date) for individual purchasing. Each title will be additionally distributed as digital downloads for those that are here, there, everywhere. There will be vinyl LPs issued for each titles as well as an assembled Box with all LP titled included with the same 2015 remaster provided (and same date of issue).
