In a previous post, I gave a hint of a Led Zeppelin title. Since, I’ve come across the tracklist of the CD being mentioned as having a release date of November 6, discovering that the list is the same as that of Mothership. Of course, that makes it a ‘best of” with the exact tracklist of Mothership. My guess is that it is just simply a “refill” of the album to the marketplace, or it’s a repackage. Regardless, it’s Mothership to all. It is important to note again that Mothership is on the calendar as a 4LP, 180g-weight vinyl reissue for the same November 6 date.

Other mysteries remain.

On November 13, continuing with the collectible David Bowie picture disc singles, Rhino and Parlophone will release a 40th Anniversary Golden Years” with the following track-list: “Golden Years” (Single Version) b/w “Station To Station” (Single Edit). Both the A & AA side features photos by Steve Schapiro, with the AA side a previously unseen shot. “Golden Years” is a 2014 remaster while “Station To Station” is a 2010 remaster.

DFA Records have a 12″ vinyl Maxi-single coming for LCD Soundsystem. Although the band is no more, it’s nice to see this track, originally issued back in 2004, coming back and cut in 45RPM vinyl. This disc will offer “Yr City’s A Sucker” (the full 12″ version), and an instrumental version of the same track. Fan collectible. (Side note: It’s a tremendous blast of fun to see the old ways being reconvened. The late ’70s, and the early ’80s offered such collectibles constantly. YAY!)

An update on the upcoming Natalie Merchant set, Tigerlily: The New Recordings, have a stand-alone CD of the new title being added to the LP, DD, and CD/DVD Deluxe Edition offerings. All sets are on the calendar for November 6. (Original TAP post here.)
