Springsteen Born To RunBruce Springsteen and his best known titles will be getting not only vinyl LP re-releases (which is nice for Springsteen fans who are also vinyl enthusiasts), but also CD re-releases. The LPs and CDs will contain the new Ludwig remasters from the 2014 Box, with the CDs being issued in jewel cases. Otherwise, there aren’t anything else special on these. All of the titles will be re-released on June 16 (they LPs were individually available on Record Store Day). The CD reissues will contain booklets with the original album artwork.

The titles involved include Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ,The Wild, The Innocent, & The E Street Shuffle, Born To Run, Darkness On the Edge Of Town, The River, Nebraska, and Born In The USA.

I think this is great news! I will be revisiting Born To Run, and Darkness On The Edge Of Town on both the CDs and the LPs, myself!

  1. I think I will be drawing the line on these. At least I am going to try. Are these “Ludwig remasters” that awesome? Seriously, if anyone can tell me that they sound that much noticeably better than the BTR and DOTEOT box sets then I might reconsider.

    1. Bill, usually you can count on Bob to produce incredible work in mastering. These were released as a complete box for RSD. I’m glad that those were immediately broken out for individual sales. Hopefully they do the job!

  2. I’ll stick with the last Born to Run remaster but will definitely pick up Darkness and The River.
