If you’re an avid Leonard Cohen fan, you’ve been blessed with a wealth of studio albums since 2001’s splendid 10 New Songs. While the events that brought Leonard Cohen back in to the open were reprehensible, we’re still quite glad we have him back.
Since 10 New Songs, we’ve gotten more new songs in Dear Heather (2004), Old Ideas (2012), and Popular Problems (2014). In addition to those studio releases, we’ve gotten a rich treasure trove of live material, most of it from his successful tours promoting the albums listed above. (And if he comes around again, I’m going again!) Those live sets include Live In London (2009), Songs From The Road (2010), and the richly provided Live In Dublin (2014) with its 3CD/1DVD content. In that period, there was also a retro live set with, Live At The Isle Of Wight 1970 (2009).
Whew!
On May 12, Legacy Recordings will add to an already ‘bursting at the seams’ live collection with Can’t Forget: A Souvenir Of The Grand Tour. That new live set will cover the tour that promoted Old Ideas. It is ten tracks of concert rehearsals that includes two new songs (“Nobody Gave Nobody Trouble”, “Got A Little Secret”), and two covers (“La Manic” – Georges Dor, “Choices” – George Jones).
Don’t Forget: A Souvenir Of The Grand Tour will be issued on CD, DD, and vinyl LP. Check out the new song, “Never Gave Nobody Trouble” below!
