If vinyl is your thing, then this year just might turn out to be your favorite one in terms of getting plenty of vinyl reissues for a band that you love. In yesterday’s posts, we mentioned a vinyl Box set coming for Roxy Music (here if you missed it). That set will include all of the great Roxy Music albums in one purchase. With benefits!
In today’s post, we’re going to see a similar offering for Lynyrd Skynyrd.
On March 17, Geffen Records will reissue the first six albums from Lynyrd Skynyrd, celebrating only those albums with the original band before the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of some of the band members. The albums included in this box, Lynyrd Skynyrd (1973-1977), are Lynyrd Skynyrd (Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd) (1973), Second Helping (1974), Nuthin’ Fancy (1975), Gimme Back My Bullets (1976), Street Survivors (1977), and One More From The Road (1976).
I agree. It’s unbelievable how many classic albums are being put out in vinyl. Too bad I can’t get excited about it since I gave away my turntable 20 years ago.
I’ve got you beat, Bill. I haven’t purchased vinyl since 1979.
