Kinks – The Anthology 1964-1971 5CD Box (Pye Years) Planned for November

Not long after the announcement of the upcoming The Essential Kinks (see here), the news comes that there will be a definitive Kink box coming your way to help celebrate their 50 year anniversary. The Kinks have been at the business fo Rock and Roll for such a long time, dating all the way back to the infancy of Rock and Roll during the ’60s. With such an incredible array of memorable and important songs that include classics like “Lola”, “All day And All Of The Night”, and “You Really Got Me”, there is plenty of room on any size Box set offering for great songs by The Kinks.

On November 3, in the UK (where else, right?), The Anthology 1964-1971 will be released providing five CDs of tracks recorded during the years found on the title. In addition to the included newly remastered original tracks from their years with Pye Records, there will be rare demos, interviews, alternate mixes, outtakes. As an added bonus to The Anthology 1964-1971, there will be a 7″ vinyl single, and, a massive booklet filled with all kinds of expected goodies.

While many of these tracks have appeared elsewhere, either as original single releases, LP releases, or inclusions within other packages, some of them are previously unreleased.
