On November 19, Columbia Records will release a new live album from AC/DC, their first in over 20 years. The 19-performance track set will include two lengthy and magnificent performances of “The Jack” (10:12). and “Let There Be Rock” (18:06). The album, Live At River Plate, was recorded in Buenos Aires in December 2009 over three sold-out nights. The live album will be featured in a 3LP, 180g set pressed on red vinyl, and a 2CD package with a special 24-page booklet. Live At River Plate was released on DVD back in 2011.
Columbia Records also plans the issue of new Aerosmith music, Music From Another Dimension! (I bloody HATE this title) on November 6. Back on the label that spawned their greatest years, Aerosmith’s latest will be issued on red pressed vinyl 2LP with CD included, a standard CD issue, as well as a 2CD/1DVD Deluxe Edition. The bonus material include four live videos (“Rats In The Cellar”, “Train Kept A “Rollin'” (with Johnny Depp), “Oh Yeah”, “Same Old Song and Dance”), Aerosmith interviews, three bonus outtake tracks (“Up On A Mountain”, “Oasis In The Night”, “Sunny Side of Love”), and a photo gallery (on DVD). File under: Rock indeed!

Universal Republic will release Greatest Hits featuring 3 Doors Down on November 20.

A massive 29-disc Box featuring the singles of KISS is slated for November 19. The set is called Casablanca Singles.
Darla Records will release Bandits Of Stature by Harold Budd on November 27.
Xenon Records will release Dead In The Boot from Elbow on November 19.
Cleopatra Records will release the 2CD set from Tangerine Dream called Booster IV, which is planned for November 13.
Why doesn’t RCA release a 2-CD “The Essential Jefferson Starship”? They already have a 2-CD “The Essential Jefferson Airplane”. The new set could be 3/4 Jefferson Starship and the rest Starship. They have plenty of hits and great album tracks, for crying our loud!
Aerosmith has been “back on the label that spawned their greatest years” since 1997 (5 years before I was born!)
