A great wave of Zappa titles are expected on August 14.  Actually, I’ve only seen the alerts for DD, but truthfully, we ALL know where there’s anticipated reissues, DD also means CD.  Regardless, here is the listing of titles expected:

Eagle Rock plan the Blu-ray and DVD issues of Great Pretender featuring Freddie Mercury, and So Classic Album, featuring Peter Gabriel. The Mercury set is schedulex for September 25, and the Gabriel set for September 18.

Island Records have Fisher Storm Test scheduled for Limp Bizkut on September 18.

Eagle Rock will release Sounds That Can’t Be Made by Marillion on September 18.

Polydor plans the reissue of Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground (with Nico) on September 25.

Flashback Records plan an Original Albums series of 5 CDs featuring sets from B-52s; Ray Charles; Wilson Pickett; Warren Zevon; Little Feat; Carly Simon; Alanis Morisette; Linda Ronstadt; Dwight Yoakam; Madonna; The Monkees; Pantera; Anita Baker; ZZ Top; The Cars; Foreigner; Rod Stewart; John Michael Montgomery; Curtis Mayfield; and Foghat.  The series mentioned arrive on September 11.  These are random selections and therefore may be unpalatable for fans.  Example: Foghat will contain Foghat, Energized, Foll For The City, Live, and Tight Shoes (?).  All 5CD sets retail for $21.98.

Time/Life plans a 2CD set, as well as a separately available DVD for Don McLean: American Troubadour, on September 11.

Atlantic Records will release An Awesome Wave from Alt-J in both CD and vinyl LP forms on September 18.

Warner Brothers Records plan Control by The Indecent on September 11.

For fans of after market David Cassidy, Real Gone Music has slated a desirable acquisition of the elusive Gettin’ It In The Street album that featured Mick Ronson.  I’d love to see Real Gone reissue Home Is Where The Heart Is, and The Higher They Climb…!  The label has also tagged Cassidy Live! for reissue.  Both titles are set for August 28.

Tempest by Bob Dylan is on the calendar for September 11.  Also released as a 2LP set with bonus CD.

I thought I had mentioned the trilogy releases from Green Day including ¡Uno!, which is slated for September 25, but I guess I hadn’t.
Private Music and Legacy have The Complete Blues, Rock ‘n Soul Private Music Albums Collection featuring Etta James planned for August 28.
The 30th Anniversary Edition of Screaming For Vengeance by Judas Priest is scheduled for September 4.
Shout! Factory will release The Path of Totality Tour – Live at the Hollywood Palladium featuring Korn in both PA and Edited versions on September 4.
Real Gone Music have The Complete Liberty Singles by Gary Lewis on the calendar for August 28.
Legacy Recordings will release The Sound Of The Life Of The Mind by Ben Folds Five (CD, LP) on September 18.
Stoopid Records will release Top Of The World by Slightly Stoopid on August 14.
Flariella Records have Sing The Delta from Iris Dement on the calendar for October 2, with the title planned for CD and LP.
I’m more than pleased to learn that Concord Jazz will release The Devil You Know by Rickie Lee Jones on September 18.

Anti Records will release Sugaring Season by Beth Orton in both CD and LP on October 2.
