The ’70s had a lot of fun with the Glam band, Slade. In their native UK, they were celebrated as heroes with consistent Number one songs over a short period of time. Originally formed in 1963, the band gained their strength in 1972 with the release of Slayed. It generated no less than 6 hit singles in England that include “Gudbuy T’Jane”, “Mama Weer All Crazee Now” (successfully covered by Quiet Riot along with another Slade classic, “Cum On Feel The Noize”). Slade issued 16 studio set all divided by eras. Their first climb and success began in 1969 and lasted until 1976 with the release of Nobody’s Fool. They regained popularity with the release of Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply (UK)/The Amazing Kamakaze Syndrome (US) and the singles, “My Oh My”, and “Run Runaway” proving they were great songwriters.
On October 17, Slade celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Nobody’s Fool with an expanded edition that adds in five bonus tracks, singles from the era. Slade has not been forgotten and this Primary Wave Music reissue proves that they are still in our thoughts.
This 50th Anniversary edition of Nobody’s Fool (remastering has never been mentioned so I do not know if this was remastered for this new reissue) will be reissued on CD, DD, and a special edition of 2LP splatter Red color vinyl press. So…let the heavens thunder!
