Since the long ago years of 1971 when Nektar released their first album, they have been entertaining progressive fans with conceptual, if not psychedelic arrays of Rock music. Often, as on the first album, the songs were extended and allowed for experimentation along many pathways. Over the years, a changing line-up of Nektar released 15 studio albums, almost half of those in the New Millennium. Today, the band remains fairly intact with most original members, although Ron Howdon has passed (2023) and has been replaced.
On August 30, Nektar will release a brand new album with four lengthy tracks to create the whole. The new set is being released via Deko Entertainment. The vinyl press will arrive a bit later planned for October 11. The new album is being titled Mission To Mars and will explore some different avenues in the tracks.
Mission to Mars will issue on CD, DD, and LP.
