In 1973, a largely unknown band from Boston, known as Aerosmith, rose on the charts with their song, “Dream On”. From there, it was a rise to superstardom with more than a few charting singles to accompany them on their rise. With many albums in the catalog, it was their Columbia albums that set the stage. Their Geffen years were a resurgence with new ideas and new songs. But it all started with that excellent self-titled debut in 1973.
On March 20, Aerosmith will reissue that debut with extras like 2024 remixes, the 2024 remaster, six bonus session tracks, and live performance tracks from the era. The main stage of the set is a massive bundle that brings together LPs, CDs, swag, and a satin bomber jacket. But the offerings include even standalone CD featuring only the album with the 2024 remaster. a 16-page booklet is packed in.
The Aerosmith debut will be issued on CD Legendary Edition, 3CD Legendary Edition Expanded, DD, 1LP Legendary Edition, 4LP Legendary Edition Expanded, 5LP Legendary Collector’s Edition, a Limited Edition 1LP Translucent Red vinyl press, and the previously mentioned Legendary Collector’s Edition 5LP Fan Pack Box set with bomber jacket. there are other offerings in bundles and isolated purchases at the band’s website (here). LPs are 180g-weight vinyl.
