David Bowie has immediate cred for nearly anyone. And it’s easy to see why as his body of work has been largely amazing. However, he has several children that also display strong artistic bents. Duncan Jones is a film director and has had notable films to his credit. And recently, his daughter, Lexi Jones, just released an alternative album called Xandri. It was issued on April 2.
Xandri has 12 songs clocking in around 47 minutes entire. Xandri exhibits all the charm of the kind of experimental movement that Bowie explored so successfully throughout his career. The album begins with “Along The Road”, followed by more songs, all of which showcases an intensity for observation of the world around us, the way we live in it, and the feelings we acquire along the way. The music brings together electronic styles and blends well with alternative music of today’s kind. I have a feeling that you will find something to like on this new album.
Born to David Bowie and Iman, her full name registers as Alexandria Zahra Jones. She also wields the paintbrush for scores of enchanting artwork. You can investigate her at her website here. for now, Xandri is only available on DD streaming services.
