The Rolling Stones, despite their extended age as a band, and the period of time that they find themselves in, have always maintained keeping up in musical technology to represent their music. During the rise of SACD, Abkco released their Abkco catalog in the updated format. Now, with Atmos remixes in the fore, Abkco, once again, steps in to update the catalog with the latest sound improvement.
On March 14, Abkco has released digital editions of six full-length Stones classics and 2 EPs, all remixed in Dolby Atmos. a spatial audio format that gives headphone listening a new lift. The titles to be offered (Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon Music) are The Rolling Stones EP (1964), The Rolling Stones [UK] (1964), England’s Newest Hitmakers (1964), Five By Five EP (1964), 12 x 5 (1964), The Rolling Stones No. 2 (1965), The Rolling Stones, Now! (1965), and Let It Bleed (1969). They are all currently available in Dolby Atmos.
Later in the Fall period, Abkco will reissue seven more titles in Dolby Atmos that will include Beggar’s Banquet (1968), Got Live If You Want It! EP (1965), Out Of Our Heads [UK Version] (1965), Out Of Our Heads [US Vrsion] (1965), Big Hits (High Tide And Green Grass) [UK Version] (1966), Big Hits (High Tide And Green Grass) [US Version] (1966), and December’s Children (And Everybody’s) (1965).
