Talking Heads is a band known to most. With that, a brief history is unnecessary. Over their approximately ten years’ time frame, they released 8 studio albums. Along with those were two other Sire-issued live sets as well as a third set recently released in 2024 (Live at WCOZ 77). Along with the various compilations that have become available, the juggernaut we know as Talking Heads walked briefly but thunderously on the landscape of Rock and Roll.
On April 12
, Rhino Entertainment will release a RSD 2LP edition of Live On Tour ’78. Recorded at The Agora Ballroom in Cleveland. There will only be 8000 copies available. This December 18, 1978 show was recorded for release as a radio promotional but was never released as a set that can be acquired otherwise. This new set features completely new remastering of the performance tracks and adds in a live track not originally included. This RSD 2LP set has been cut at 45RPM. There is a hint that it will also be made available as a CD.
