Mike + The Mechanics, an offshoot of Genesis headed by Mike Rutherford. The band gained plenty of notice and enjoyed the commercial success that Genesis originally had. This gave Mike Rutherford a dynamic that – along with other members of Genesis – showcased their overflow of talent that included Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Steve Hackett, and others. In Mike + the Mechanics, there was also the talents of Paul Young, and Paul Carrack. Song hits like “All I Need Is A Miracle:, “Silent Running”, and “Word of Mouth” to name a few, were strong issues that gave the band their own stage to support. Mike + The Mechanics produced nine studio albums over thirty plus years. Not bad!!

On March 14, a compilation will appear to be called Looking Back – Living the Years. This set will bring together the band’s collection of 16 hits and deep cuts from most of the band’s albums. The music is representative of their best years. The releasing label is Craft Recordings.

Looking Back -Living The Years will be released on CD, DD, and 2LP black vinyl The 2LP set will be made available on April 4.
