The Darkness formed in 2000 as a band highlighting the music of the past with a fresher, more updated sound. Their music pleased. With the release of their 2003 debut – Permission To Land – the UK band gave the old-style a shot and wildly succeeded with an album that sold well into the millions worldwide and pulling 5 singles from the ten track set. The “Christmas Time (Don’t Let The Bells End)” was a bonus track. through 2021, The Darkness put out 7 studio albums over three labels. Their most popular sets were released via Atlantic Records.

On March 28, The Darkness returns with a brand new studio set to be called Dreams On Toast. The new album will contain 10 new songs, two of which have already been released as singles to herald the album. One of those songs, “I Hate Myself” can be heard below.

Dreams On Toast is getting the full run – via Cooking Vinyl Records – with releases including CD, DD, CS, and various colors of vinyl LP that will include White vinyl and a Red/Black Splatter Edition. The cassette edition will be issued with five different covers and colors featuring each of the band members. Several bundles are being made available. You can find those here.
