In a bit of a departure -a planned feature of upcoming TAP posts – I’m talking here about a undated but upcoming new album. Today, it’s a mention by Patrick Simmons of The Doobie Brothers, who has disclosed the impending arrival of the band’s newest album – Walk This Road. This new album will feature the newest lineup, which features McDonald, McFee, Simmons, and Johnston.
The Doobie Brothers undertook a successful 50th Anniversary tour that has led to this time. The new album is said to have ten new songs and will actually release a new single long too long from now. It is expected in early 2025. The new album is planned for spring or summer.
Thus far, there is no release date set for Walk this Road but you can bet we will be there to talk about it when it does have one. I’m quite excited about this new release.
