During the rise of the New Wave era in the late ’70s and early ’80s, a productive period that gave the world many great new bands with new sounds, one such performer arose that helped to dominate a certain essence of Pop music – Nick Lowe. Nick Lowe was aligned with the Stiff Records labels that delivered Elvis Costello, Ian Dury, and others. In 1978, Nick Lowe released the track “I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass” from his best-selling Jesus Of Cool debut. From there it was history as Nick Lowe also released the popular single, “Cruel To Be Kind” and wrote the popular “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding?”
On September 13, Nick Lowe returns after more than a decade of no album issues with a brand new album to be called Indoor Safari. This new album will contain 12 songs that are backed by his band, Los Straitjackets. Many tracks have been previously released over the years since his last set in 2013. The album will be released via the Yep Roc label.
Indoor Safari will issue on CD, and DD for streaming and download.
