Hailing from Sweden, the music of Opeth has given a wide swath of Prog fans a reason to become fans. With metal as the base, and other musical styles and elements as distinct flavorings, Opeth have given 13 albums that has struck nerves for many. Their first was issued in 1995, giving years to the history of the band.30 years later, Opeth continues to give fans great music.
On October 11, Opeth will go all out and give us a new set in The Last Will And Testament. Conceived as a concept album, it is expected to relate a musical journey of sorts. the new album will be presented in a variety of formats that will include Limited Edition box sets, bundles, and individual packages. The box set will add in 180g-weight color vinyl 2LP White Opaque and Dark Green Opaque, CD, BD with Dolby Atmos mix, and a documentary, a replica handwritten lyric sheet, a numbered certificate of authenticity, a 32-page notepad, and a pen & quill set. Most bundles add in tee shirts.
The Last Will And Testament (stylized as The Last WILL and TESTAMENT) will be issued on CD, DD, Clear casing CS, CD/BD set, and three versions of vinyl that include standard black vinyl 2LP, Silver opaque-color 2LP, and the already sold out limited edition of black and white splatter vinyl 2LP. This album will be released via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM).
