Robin Trower enjoyed his first taste of Rock with the band, Procol Harum. His guitar style gave the world an attachment point that fans hooked to and followed after his departure from the band. In 1973, Robin Trower launched his own band using his name as the moniker, and released Twice Removed From Yesterday. The album found a US fanbase, which stayed with them throughout their Chrysalis Records years. The UK was a bit slow in recognition but came around during For Earth Below (1975).
On August 18, Chrysalis will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the delightful set, Twice Removed From Yesterday. It will feature the original album newly remastered for this reissue, and a collection of John Peel BBC live cuts, a B-side, and three previously unreleased tracks (two rough mixes/one alternate mix).
The 50th Anniversary Deluxe set of Twice Removed From Tomorrow will be reissued on 2CD, DD, and 2LP packages. The 2LP vinyl set will be issued in a gatefold jacket. “Here’s hoping for a stunner of a 50th Anniversary for Bridge Of Sighs.
