A post for vinyl fans will include news of several vinyl reissues that will include classic albums from Be Bop Deluxe, 10cc, The Flaming Lips, and The Pretty Things. Be Bop Deluxe, two 10cc sets, a 5LP Anniversary The Flaming Lips box, and a The Pretty Things 13LP vinyl Box set will be in standard industry black vinyl.
On April 28, watch for the reissue of Sunburst Finish, which will contain the 2018 mix by Stephen W Taylor, and will restore the original cover art for this reissue. (Pre-order Sunburst Finish here.)
Also on April 28, two more 10cc classic albums – The Original Soundtrack (1975), and Bloody Tourists (1978) will receive 180g-weight reissues. Their original Hipgnosis artwork will be restored for the reissue. You can buy these separately, and as a bundle. The Original Soundtrack contained “I’m Not In Love”. On April 14, The Flaming Lips classic, Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots (2002) will be reissued over 5LPs in a special edition of the 2023 Anniversary reissue. Within the box will be the 5LPs, and a wealth of add-ins to make collection a must for fans of the title. 56 tracks in all, 30 of them are previously unreleased. On March 31, Madfish Records will deliver a 13LP The Pretty Things Box featuring the complete output of the legendary San Francisco band, starting with their self-titled 1965 album, and finishing with their Bare As Bone, Bright As Blood 2020 set. All the albums contained with The Complete Studio Albums 1965-2020 are newly remastered and the cover art is faithfully reproduced. Each vinyl disc is packed with a four-page insert, all packed into a slip-case styled box. This set will only be available with 1000 copies. (Pre-order here.)
