Nick Piunti & The Complicated Men are ready to ROCK the holiday season with the new Jem Records release, “Christmas Morning”. You can enjoy this track below.

Musically, it has a bit of an E Street -vibe with ringing guitars, piano and glockenspiel, along with some cool bass riffs. Other influences in this music are Tom Petty & Fountains of Wayne. And at 2:52, it does not wear out its welcome.

Way before the pandemic, Nick began writing this timeless song that stresses what is important about Christmas in a light-hearted way. “I’ve had the first verse and chorus for “Christmas Morning” for a few years but never got around to finishing it until recently. Jem Records was asking for a holiday song so I got the band out of quarantine.”

Though Nick was signed to Jem Records in 2016, his journey as a musician began during childhood. “You know the story; kid gets a guitar for Christmas, never puts it down, moves to L.A. with his childhood band to find that power pop was no match for hair metal. Sticking to his musical guns, he retreats back home, gets married, and while raising three beautiful girls, (with a most understanding wife), continues to record and release albums.”

After two fine L.P.s and an E.P. fronting Detroit’s The Respectables, Nick Piunti hit reset with 2013’s 13 in My Head. Since then, Nick has released four more albums: 2015’s Beyond the Static, 2016’s Jem Records debut Trust Your Instincts, 2018’s Temporary High and now the new 2020 album, Downtime. His work has spawned many year-end “best of” kudos and radio plays, including “Coolest Song in the World”- thanks to Steven Van Zandt and his Sirius XM station “Little Steven’s Underground Garage”.

“Christmas Morning” can be currently found on all digital outlets, including Amazon.
