Generation X, the band that delivered Billy Idol to the world, released their debut album – self-titled – in February of 1978, where it reached a high point at 29 on the UK charts. The band released two more albums before declining sales led to the jumpstart of Billy Idol as a solo performer.
On April 26, Chrysalis will revisit Generation X‘s 1978 debut with a brand new 2CD Deluxe Edition remaster and a collection of A and B-sides, eleven previously unreleased outtakes, a single edit of “Promises, Promises”, and seven Alan Winstanley mixes. The original album is the UK version that is being reissued here.
The 2CD set will be housed in an 8-panel digipak, and given a feature-filled 12-page booklet. The set is housed in a protective cardboard ‘O card’ slipcover.
