The Foo Fighters band has generated a wealth of fans with their classic Rock and Roll music. Formed by Dave Grohl after the demise of the iconic ’90s band, Nirvana, Foo Fighters have since released a series of increasingly popular albums including their last effort, Wasting Light from 2011.
On November 10, RCA Records will release the new Foo Fighters album, being called Sonic Highways. Sonic Highways has a special bent to it, a streak of lovingly recorded Rock and Roll by Grohl and company. On Sonic Highways are eight new songs, all with a different culture behind them. Every song was recorded in eight different important cities that include Austin (TX), Chicago (IL), Los Angeles (CA), Seattle (WA), Nashville (TN), New Orleans (LA), New York City (NY), and Washington (DC). If there is one thing about Dave Grohl, he respects Rock and Roll, paying attention to every flavor of it from the most important locations.
Sonic Highways is the collection of tracks, each having been recorded in one of the previously mentioned cities in studios that are legendary to its location. That’s something that I haven’t heard of before. Call it a personal desire of Mr Grohl to grace the studios where many of the greats have recorded before if you wish, and it is likely just that. But I’d be doing to same if I could play with the same fervor and grace that Dave Grohl possesses.
Sonic Highways Track-List:
1. Something From Nothing
2. The Feast and The Famine
3. Congregation
4. What Did I Do?/God As My Witness
5. Outside
6. In The Clear

Most anticipated album of the year for me. Grohl has been on a roll the last few years.
