  1. This is such a tough one because I go through phases with music. If you had asked this a month ago, I would have said “Lateralus” by Tool. A few months before that and I would have given you “Permanent Waves” by Rush. Right now it’s “Passenger” by Lisa Hannigan. Very much in that kind of mood right now.

  2. Kind of blue by Miles and Trane. So rich. one million listen can’t tell the greatness of this record. And it’s a rock lover who saids that.

  3. This is a REALLY tough question but after careful deliberation I think I’m going to go with The Colour of Spring by Talk Talk because of its mix of styles. It’s got gloriously epic pop songs with classical and jazz influences so I can listen to it repeatedly without getting tired of it. It’s also very uplifting which would be helpful over the years.

  4. The first Crosby, Stills and Nash album. It is, quite simply, a perfect album — not a bad song on it.

  5. “Aja,” Steely Dan. I suffer from severe depression; this beautiful album is what gets me up each morning.

  6. Definitely “Bella Donna” by Stevie Nicks, 31 years on and it’s still a staple in my cd player!

  7. Jackson Browne – Late For The Sky
I was in the 10th Grade when it came out in ’74, and thought it was written just for me. All these years later, I still feel the same way when I play it.

  8. All Things Must Pass – George Harrison
This mammoth set has never left my side since first hearing it in 1976. Continues to be an ethereal listen every time through from start to finish.
